As many of you know, Shane recently returned from a trip to Svay Pak Cambodia where he painted with the human trafficked children there. Agape International had invited him to come and bring hope and joy through the arts for these children. You won’t want to miss Shane’s first time ever featured “Cambodian Flowers Virtual” where he has creatively put together and reminisce of the small village of Svay Pak itself. This experience will allow a virtual tour of some of the sights and sounds of this small almost forgotten village where children are sold and stories are left untold from Shane’s personal experience and how just a few unsung hero’s are making all the difference in the world in the lives of so many…. until now. Through Shane’s artwork and creative virtual display you will get a taste of the story woven telling of tragedy and sadness, rescue and hopefulness- you wont want to miss this unique evening of art and emotion!

Shane Grammer will be painting live at this weekend’s annual Sacramento Children’s Home event “Luxe for Life.” Here he will have the opportunity to create live on a 4×5 canvas images reminiscent of Grammers famous “Fatherless Boy” icon during the evening of festivities and fund raising for the Sacramento Children’s Home. This exciting image will be auctioned off before the evening draws to a close.
The Sacramento Children’s Home is a child abuse prevention, intervention, and treatment program. It’s been a safe haven for children and families since 1867. It continues this tradition today through residential, community, and education programs that span a greater range of ages and a broader range of needs than any other agency in the region
Come out and support The Sacramento Children’s Home as the Sacramento Executive Jet Center is transformed into a hip, trendy nightclub. Spend the

Shane Grammer was invited by Valley Springs Presbyterian Church located in Roseville California to share his experience going to Cambodia, using art to bring hope and joy to girls forced into human trafficking. Every two years Valley Springs hosts an international conference called L’Abri. Shane was also asked to create an installation in the L. Frank James Gallery located within the church. L’Abri is a French word that means shelter. The first L’Abri community was founded in Switzerland in 1955 by Dr. Francis Schaeffer and his wife, Edith. Dr. Schaeffer was a Christian theologian and philosopher who also authored a number of books on theology, philosophy, general culture and the arts.

I just painted the hood of my friends VW Bug. This was a fun project with having some time to paint in the studio. She wanted my artwork on the hood and wanted it to look rusted out. She gave me freedom to have fun with it. And paint what I wanted too. Here is another fun project but a little different canvas.

I’m painting live at the Sake House in the beautiful Fountains located in Roseville CA. The event is to raise money for Placer Breast Cancer Endowment. The painting that I will paint live will be auctioned off and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the Placer Breast Cancer Endowment. This Thursday June 24th starting at 5:30pm. We were in the studio late Saturday night finishing up interviews. We are almost finished with the Cambodia mural project video. This video is to highlight the team painting murals with girls rescued from human trafficking in Svay Pak. Are plan with this video is to also highlight Agape (aim4asia.org). The staff in Cambodia is amazing they have given up their lives to help these girls and to stop human trafficking.

SCION x-CHANGE in Sacramento CA this weekend at Java City. Shane Grammer will be creating a live installation along with other artists from Sacramento and around the US. We just painted for TOMS Shoes at Nordstroms in the Galleria Mall Roseville. In the photo Becky Watson and Shane Grammer painting shoes live. Customers purchased a pair of shoes and would ask us to paint them. The requests are anything from dragonflies, flowers, urban, custom names, and even coy fish tattoo designs.

The SG Studios offices are getting a full make over. Here is a photo of miniature models that we created for the Rock of Roseville’s children’s department. These models were created about four years ago but now we are cleaning them up to display in a Plexiglass box in the office. Working on miniature models makes me feel like a little kid again. Fun.

We have been back from Cambodia for almost four weeks now and I am missing everything about it. I will never be the same again. I feel like this trip has branded my soul.
The hardest thing I had to deal with in Svay Pak was the fact that sex trafficking was a part of life. During the day painting with these little girls that I new were being sold for sex. Getting coffee at the locale coffee shop and two pimps walking by me. One of the pimps looked no more then sixteen. Seventy five feet behind me is a holding pin for girls stolen from Vietnam, sedated, raped, manipulated, and then sent to a brothels somewhere In Cambodia. Meeting a mother in the community with her three beautiful girls and finding out that she sells them. Her oldest daughter no older then ten. I will be on an emotional detox for about six months.
